Once again, I am going to link to Ferdinand Bardamu. He puts a lot of effort into his blog, and has some thought provoking ideas to contribute. I hope he keeps writing, and to the extent being linked by this inconsequential blog of mine encourages that, all the better. He also gives me a good jumping off point on stuff I wanted to address anyway.
This time he created a graph that demonstrates the propensity of higher violent crime, in locales (New York Counties) with greater populations of Non Asian Minorities (NAMs).
A few thoughts…
I’m no expert on New York State Government politics,but using common sense, I would assume that all of the NAM heavy/ high crime areas are dominated by leftist politicians. (I did a brief perusal of Mayors in the high crime counties and my assumption remains unchanged.) The thoughts that follow apply to the country as a whole anyway.
When their “solutions” to crime, poverty and education fail miserably and predictably, leftists never consider their own ideology as flawed. It is never single motherhood, poor values or a nod toward HBD as a contributing factor. It is never bilingual education, or substandard, one size fits all public schools. It is never a culture that doesn’t value education, or a strong work ethic. It is never about promoting groups over individuals, or instilling a victim mentality from day one. It is never about rewarding sloth, and poor decisions with government subsidies.
Nope for the leftist, its much easier to lash out against a sinister bogeyman than to treat constituents like grown ups and address real, tangible problems. Racism, guns, inadequate funding (of everything), drug use, xenophobia, test bias(any test), and conspiracies(very wacky ones) are a much easier explanation. How convenient . The day of reckoning never comes for the leftist. Hard truths never have to be confronted. Better yet, hard truths never have to be uttered. When one worn out bromide loses its effectiveness; just rename it, or discard it and move on to another, less tired platitude. It’s not racism anymore, but a vague, hard to define, institutional racism, for example.
Notice how an African immigrant or a newly arrived illegal alien from Guatemala will often outperform American born members of their own race. The American NAM, unfortunately, is worse off. They are handicapped by a leftist, equalist, victim ideology. For a variety of reasons, the NAMs are least able to afford the complete lack of wisdom and understanding of human nature this ideology promulgates.
I’m not optimistic that any of this will change anytime soon for the following reasons…
Politicians: If your platform is “fighting” for the underprivileged; you better have a lot of underprivileged voters. They have to much power invested in this game to change. Power and prestige. A reputation for “public service”. An image of “caring”. The truth hurts and it isn’t likely to be rewarded at the ballot box. Who wants to oppose these second rate demagogues, and be called a racist or a sexist or sellout?
Activists: Are you kidding? Think of how lucrative the victim industry is. Think of all the mentally imbalanced jerks who would lose their jobs. What would these minimally talented hacks do all day, if the problems they advocated for were “solved”? Think Yasser Arafat and a Palestinian State. Think Al Sharpton and racism. Who would they shakedown, if they protested over dropout rates and single motherhood?
Constituents: Its much easier to take goverment money and other handouts if you think of yourself as a victim. It’s much easier to accept failure, if you don’t think you can succeed. It’s next to impossible to succeed when you have put yourself behind the 8 ball, with a myriad of destructive behaviors like single motherhood, drug use, debt, and crime.
The percentages of NAM violent crime, in Bardamu’s graph might not ever reach parity with other groups, do to HBD reasons, but I think substantial progress would be possible if not for ingrained leftist dogma. (Take a look at black legitimacy and crime rates from 60 years ago. Even in an age of overt racism and discrimination; the percentages were much better than today.) I’m not a Utopian so I never waste time talking about “solutions”. Life is mostly about improvement at the margins, and trade offs.
Off the top of my head, here are a few ways to mitigate crime rates and improve NAMs station in life (and the likely hood it will happen in our contemporary political climate)…
1. Discourage single motherhood ( shaming, cutting subsidies) 0%
2. Reduce single motherhood
3. Decrease single motherhood
4. Reduce illegal immigration ( border fence or whatever is effective in controlling the flow, employer verification) 20%
5. School choice ( vouchers) 15%
6. Reduce welfare substantially ( you name it, across the board cuts) 25%
7. Greater emphasis on trade schools 30%
8. Less emphasis on college for everyone (enough with the college loan boondoggle, more on this another time) 5%
9. English immersion for non English speakers 40%
Besides these tangible policy ideas, some attitudinal adjustments need to be made…
You are not a victim.
Whitey is not out to get you.
Don’t be a baby daddy, or mommy (condoms are your friend)
Stop believing in fantastical conspiracies. The CIA didn’t invent AIDS and put crack cocaine in the ghetto. Again, you are not a victim.
Education is good. Don’t drop out of high school.
Learn productive and useful things. Victim (Latino, Black ,Womens) Studies are neither.
Work hard. No matter the crappy job, if you stick with it and work hard you will not be poor.
Always be working. You will always be poor if you are chronically unemployed.
Avoid debt. Sorry no Cadillac Escalades.
Celebrate Maleness. Only when men are productive and invested, will a community thrive.
Celebrate private enterprise (Think Robert Johnson, Herman Cain..hell think Jay Z)
The second list can be aimed at an individual or a community.
These lists are not at all thorough, simply things I wrote down the second I started considering the problem. Obviously, most of this stuff would take years to bear fruit. A politician running on this platform wouldn’t get ten votes. At least not in the NAM neighborhoods. He would be run out of town and called a racist, an Uncle Tom and/or an extremist. The left would talk about root causes, racism and shades of gray.
A sharp reduction in single motherhood, combined with a more male centric focus, is most important in my view. I might as well of said: A reduction in vampires, combined with a more unicorn centric focus, is most important in my view.
In other words, I’m not optimistic.

Great question, was it semi rhetorical? I’d be curious to know where you would lean on it. I’ve read you for awhile and respect your opinions.
I guess I would say that the philosophers like Marx and Engels came first. Followed by true believers preaching the gospel, followed by politicians embracing it as a way to gain power, followed by already compromised communities buying into it.
I think certain groups are less immune from leftist demagogues ( or any demagogue) than others. Probably due in part to HBD reasons. In the early 20th Century, Marxist ideas were quite attractive and didn’t have 100 years of documentable failure attached to them yet. Dreams of “equality” and sticking it to the man are pretty alluring. A move from a more agrarian way of life into an urban one played a role too I’m sure.
This doesn’t come anywhere near to doing the question justice. I’ll give it some more thought.
Leftist “solutions” turn a small cut into a gaping wound in already compromised communities. I would take the black out of wedlock birthrate of 25% of 40 years ago over the 70% it is today in a heartbeat even though 25% is indicative of problems in its own right. 25% is the small cut….70% the gaping wound.
